At the end of an extremely eventful year, I am taking part in the open studios of our BBK studio floor in Berlin-Charlottenburg. In view of the local CDU/SPD coalition government's austerity plans, which include the liquidation of our landlord Kulturraum Berlin gGmbH and a 50 percent budget cut in the overall workspace program, this might well be the last opportunity to visit our studios. Of course, admission is free, as always. The event is organized and paid for by us studio artists.

BBK studio artists: Catherine Bourdon, Franziska Löwe, Tatjana Preuss, Lerato Shadi, Beate Slansky, Catrin Wechler.

Aside from my own works, I will be showing my mobile project space Misemono-Yatai, which traveled around the world in 78 days and arrived in Berlin in early May. This will be the first time the yatai is on display outside of Japan. The exhibition inside the yatai consists of works by 11 Japanese and international artists, with whom I had the pleasure to collaborate during my stays in Kitakyushu, Itoshima and Niigata in 2023/24.

Participating artists: Moe Amano, Ida-Simone, Jun Iizuka, Tokie Ito, Toyomi Kamegawa, Anna-Sophie Lewerenz, Jak Peters, Misty Scrimgeour, Marisa Seguin, Atsushi Suzuki, Charlotte Whiteside.
