RE:VISION

RE:VISION dares the impossible. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Kunstverein Tiergarten, this publication and exhibition project brings together the names of all 2,193 people and institutions who have actively engaged in exhibitions and events at Galerie Nord, and who have set relevant aesthetic impulses, as well as initiated and enriched the sociopolitical discourse.

In a room-book-installation conceived for this occasion, all artists named in the RE:VISION publication have been invited to loan an original artistic work in exchange for a copy of the exhibition catalog, an open book functioning not only as an archive and placeholder, but also as a catalyst for visitors to help curate through active participation. For the duration of the show the interplay of artistic transaction and procedural co-creation will unfold as multifarious varieties of combinations, undermining traditional curatorial hierarchies and deconstructing conventional exhibition practices.
